We love flowers that make a big impact. But only on the people you send them to, not the planet. That’s why spring and summer are our favourite seasons. With the good weather comes the best British flowers. Stems like peonies, gladioli, lilies and sunflowers.

This year’s British-grown peonies
The Saskia
Soft on the senses, this powdery-pink bunch combines British-grown peonies with delicate roses and refreshing eucalyptus. Like the kind you might find in a luxe spa.
The 100% British Red Peonies
Not only is this bouquet made entirely from British-grown flowers, but it's also the only bunch in our range to feature crimson-coloured peonies. Obsessed? We are too.
The Alexa
We bring our Alexa back every year. And each time it’s a fan fave. It’s easy to see why, thanks to its peonies, meadowy freesias and glittering chasmanthium grass.
All about our favourite British flowers
Gladioli
With its sword-like shape, gladioli can stand out in any bouquet. What we love most about this stem though, is how it blooms. At first, its petals are hidden in the stem. But soon they begin to reveal themselves from the bottom up. It’s a must-see – which is why we send ours in bud, so you can experience it for yourself.
Sunflowers
No stem is more symbolic of summer than the sunflower. Its golden yellow petals can lift any home (or mood). Especially on those days when it doesn’t feel like summer at all. Fun fact: their stems can grow up to six feet tall in the field. Thankfully, our mini ones are dainty enough to fit in our hand-tied bouquet packaging.
Peonies
Maybe it’s their endless ruffles. Or that they’re only in season from April to June each year. But there’s something about peonies that makes them completely irresistible. It’s almost impossible to take your eyes off them as a mass of frilly petals emerge from their golf-ball-sized buds. And that’s even more true for the Coral Charm variety – they change colour from deep pink to antique cream.
Lilies
Lilies know how to make an entrance. They burst into life like tiny trumpets and can fill a whole room with their scent. It’s no wonder so many people (including us) love them. You need to take care when handling this stem though. Its pollen can stain our clothes and surfaces. To avoid that, grab a pair of clean scissors and trim away their stamens as soon as they bloom.
Stocks
Another one of our favourite, scented British flowers. Though, stocks aren’t quite as powerful as lilies. Their aroma is much more delicate and almost clove-like – it’ll take you by surprise as you walk past. Want to wish someone good luck? Get them a bouquet with stocks in it. They’re said to symbolise success.
Statice
AKA sea lavender. This is one of the most underrated blooms on our list. It can be grown in a variety of colours, each one as vibrant as the next. And it lasts for absolutely ages. Seriously. After all your other stems have faded, these will look just like when they arrived. So don’t chuck them in your compost bin. Instead, pop them in a dry vase. Et voila – your very own dried posy.
